My Publix Trips – 2 Stores / 3 Transactions – Total Spent $4.69

The first store I went to was the “cheap” Publix by UCF since I wanted the Ritz crackers and they are over $1 less there:

Transaction #1:

  • (12) Mt Dew 12-packs B2G2 $4.99, used (4) store B2G1 Mt Dew coupons from yellow flier and (2) manuf $2/4 Pepsi product 12-pack coupons from Sedanos ad (was 1 short but I was impatient)
  • (2) Honest Tea BOGO $1.49, used $1.25/2 Honest Tea or Honest Ade

Used $5/30 Winn Dixie coupon and paid $1.22 + $1.89 tax = $3.11

Transaction #2:

Used $5/30 Winn Dixie coupon and paid 62¢ after tax (subtotal was actually negative)

NOTE:  the stocking spree coupon says Ritz 16 oz but Publix does not even carry a box that is 16 oz, the manager said the 15.1 oz one was fine to get

Then I hit the Publix by my house on the way home for more chips

Transaction #3:

Used $5/30 Winn Dixie coupon and paid 96¢ after tax (subtotal was actually negative)

  1. Thought the lays stocking spree was a different size…..and there is no note below

    • I forgot to add the note: will go add it

NOTE: the stocking spree coupon says Ritz 16 oz but Publix does not even carry a box that is 16 oz (we looked at EVERY box they carried), the manager said the 15.1 oz one was fine to get

    • you meant Ritz not Lays, correct?

  2. Can we mix Dr Pepper and Mt. Dew with the Sedano’s coupon and the Publix store coupon?

  3. Would you mind explaining the math behind using 4 Publix B2G1 free Pepsi products when you buy 12 packs? My brain is not working because I either think we should use 3 coupons (we buy 6, get the 6 free from the B2G2 deal), so we’ve really only bought 3 sets of 2) or we should use 6 coupons (because we’re buying 12, even if half of them are free from the B2G2). Can you please help me! :)

    • you are buying 12 — don’t think of it as you are only buying 6 and getting 6 free — just like a BOGO sale you can use 2 coupons… this sale you can have a coupon attach to 12 products

  4. n gonzalez says:

PLEASE give mountain dew breakdown still dont get it:(

  5. n gonzalez says:

Would’nt it be 6 Publix Coupons then? Buy any 2 get one free, you are buying 12 divide by 2- 6???

  6. My Publix is limiting the purchase to just (10) 12 packs. So I ended up paying $9.98 for (8) 12 packs, using four coupons from the yellow flyer. I was so confused over the deal that I just said fine. But, I’m seeing that everyone else is getting (12) 12 packs for the same price with 6 coupons. Did they give anyone else the same problems?? And is there anything I can do about it?

    • I am not sure if there is anything you can do but I would have left and gone to another store. Kevins store just ordered another 11 pallets (they have sold a TON because they put up signs advertsing the deal using the yellow coupons) he said they will probably be the top selling store in Orlando for the pepsi sale.

    • plus getting 10 is just stupid since its buy 2 get 2… you are getting jipped out of 2 free sodas if you only buy 10.

    • I went today on my lunch and was able to purchase all 12 without any problems. Im sure they might catch on soon. But its a great deal maybe even for a second trip

  7. Thank you, Amy!! You have been saving me so much lately and now I feel like a pro having gotten 12 12-pks of Mountain Dew for $4. My boyfriend owes me big time for this one (he’s the one that drinks it)! I just wish I had paid attention to the $2.50 max. on the Ritz coupons. I might not have done that deal if I had realized that since they were $3.69 at my Publix. The BF wants me to do the deal again, but I want him to come with me so he can load the darn things, lol.

Oh and btw, I tried today to print the Honest Tea and Lays coupons and failed on both. I couldn’t find anything on the honest tea page you linked to so I am thinking that one is gone.

    • I know I didn’t realize the $2.50 max until they scanned the coupon and it rang up $2.50… luckily I went to the cheap publix which was only $2.63 or something so it wans’t a huge difference but at full price it would have been

honest tea was at the VERY bottom of the page… scroll WAY down

    • and I still have 12 12-packs in my van because I am tired after bringing 12 of them into my house already hahaha

  8. I did a run of buying 8 before putting my head on straight and going back to get another 12.. DH LOVES dt. Mt dew ..Anyway! I tried to use the Sedano’s and because in my transaction I had 6 mt dew and 6 dr pepper, I was only able to use 1 Sedano’s because she said it didn’t cover dr. Pepper products, only mt.dew. My first one scanned fine… At $2.98 per tax I was fine with that..but just as a heads up, don’t think it will work with only dr.pepper :)

    • Dr pepper is a funny one since its technically not Pepsi but distributed by Pepsi in our area. Same with Mt Dew, we just got lucky that they coded it into the coupon I guess because I had no beeps

  9. You mentioned in one of your replies above that when your Nabisco coupon scanned it took off $2.50, do the computers at your store automatically take off the amount for a free product coupon like that? That doesn’t happen at my store so it can take a little longer some times.

    • On this one it did because at first I was like… wait those were more than $2.50 and then I looked at the coupon and saw the max value

  10. amy thanks for the explanation (note) regarding Ritz……I will be there tomorrow to do the same thing….

  11. same thing for the stocking spree-$1 off Planters Peanut coupon
it showed a bottle and said 12oz. Well they have them at 16oz on the shelves.
The manager said he’ll honor the coupons, when i was there yesterday.
    Such a deal-buy 1-get 1 and i had 2 of those booklet coupons!

  12. Amy please what’s the address of the cheap publix?

  13. Thank you Amy.
