Meet the Author:

Dr. Julie Silver is a Harvard Medical School assistant professor and expert in physical medicine and rehabilitation, a chief editor at Harvard Health Publications, and a breast cancer survivor.

Breast cancer is something you pray that you never have to go through. My mother is actually a breast cancer survivor who has been cancer free for over 15 years now (thank God) but it was an incredibly difficult time for the whole family.  This book is filled with stories from strong women who are battling or have battled this horrible disease.   Whether you personally are dealing with breast cancer or know someone who is, this book is a must read !!!

  10. My aunt is currently battling breast cancer since 2008. She is a true warrior and although she won the battle, now her cancer has come back strong. Her breast cancer has spread to her lungs and spine, she is back on chemo but the most amazing thing is that she has been so strong through all of this. God has given her the strength to fight cancer like a true woman…she has not let this take her down, to the contrary, she is very positive and has all her faith in God. She is a true example for all women who have battled or are currently battling cancer and it would be a blessing to be able to get her this book as a gift. I think it would help her even more to know about the story of others and get encouraged along the way. Please!!! :) She is my hero!
