I don’t normally give gift cards only because I am usually tight on cash during holidays. So, I try to find good deals on gifts that would cost less than the money i’d have to shell out for a gift card. However, sometimes I get gift cards because they are such a good option! I like to give gas cards, walmart/gianteagle/other grocery gift cards, subway (one of the only places that you don’t feel cheap giving a $5 gift card because a whole meal is about $5!)
