Be Careful With Ibotta Offers

I just wanted to make a post to let you know that you need to be really sure that you get the EXACT product that is pictured on the Ibotta offer.  I got the Digiorno pizza deal at Target but I got the self rising crust rather than the traditional crust and it rejected my cash back (thankfully it was only 50¢ and I would have gotten the deal anyway).  The UPC has to match EXACTLY with what you have in YOUR offers (some offers vary from person to person so before buying, check your account)

Here’s how ibotta works:

1.) Before shopping, choose your offers. The more you choose, the more cash back you’ll earn.
2.) Go Shopping. Buy your chosen products at Target, Walmart, CVS, Publix, Walgreens, etc (new stores being added all the time).
3.) Take a photo of your receipt. We’ll verify your purchases and credit your account right away.
4.) Get your cash. Yes, real money, loaded onto your PayPal account or donated to any school in America.

Every time you redeem an offer, they’ll send a new one. Tell them your likes and dislikes and they’ll send you personalized offers.

So what are you waiting for?

  1. You can scan the barcode on the product to make sure it is the correct offer you selected through ibotta before you purchase it. When you click on an offer through ibotta, in the top right hand corner there is a button with the barcode symbol on it. Just click on it and you can scan the barcode on the product to make sure it is the correct item. It will tell you if it is the correct product… I used this on Sunday to purchase the 3pk Orbit gum… and it works. – J

  2. I did see a spot to check the UPC before buying & will definitely be using that!! I am very impressed how fast they paid out.

  3. Thanks for the UPC info: that also caught me last week.
If I scan before to make sure product will match: will it match with receipt so I don’t have to do this step again?

Have you noticed: after you have chosen item then check the store and on shopping list will list when item must be redeem by. (I have done this with items I know I will be using). Will not show items that you have not chosen.

But good way to know when they must be used if your trying to match coupons or sale.
