Earlier I posted a deal on Colgate toothpaste that Kevin found which made each tube 11¢ each but here is a better way to do it:
Buy (10) Colgate Toothpastes @ $2.89 BOGO
Use (10) 50¢/1 peelies or 75¢ coupons from 1/6 SS
Get (2) $5 Publix Gift Card for buying 5 participating products (tear pad coupon)
Final Price: as much as a $3.05 money maker if you have 10 insert coupons
If you only use the peelies, it will still be a 55¢ money maker (before tax) !!!
*for those in Orlando, the Publix across from Kohls on Aloma near the 417 had a TON of tear pads and toothpastes on a front display
**************************************
This is what I did to get to $30 to use a $5 off $30 Winn Dixie coupon from the Enjoy the City booklet
- (4) Emergen C 10 ct @ 25% off of $5.99 (= $4.50 each), used (4) $1.50/1 coupons from 12/9 RP plus (2) store $5/2 coupons from green flyer
- (10) Colgate Toothpastes $2.89 BOGO, used (10) 50¢/1 peelies and got (2) $5 Publix Gift Card for buying 5 participating products (tear pad)
Used $5/30 Winn Dixie coupon from Enjoy the City booklet
Paid $7.29 after tax and got (2) $5 Publix gift cards

Throw something else in to be able to use a $5/$30 for a bigger moneymaker.
Yes I got (4) Emergen-C
Here is a pic of my whole trip: http://www.whosaidnothinginlifeisfree.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/colgate.png
were did you get the pellie used?? right there from the store?
yes they were in the store along with the tear pad
I bought 6 toothpaste from a non participating store. They were bogo, but there was no display or any tearpad. I talked to the front office and she didn’t know anything about the promotion. But, she told me that if I took the receipt to a participating store, I should be able to get my $5 card. Is this true? thanks for your help
I am sure it will be up to the store but most likely they would do it… you could always bring the toothpaste with you and then you could return it and rebuy it if they won’t just give you the gift card
Hello, I am a bit confused. If I buy 6, and use a $50. peelie, it only takes $1.00 off 2.So it’s $1.89 for 2, so I pay $5.67 for 6, and get a $5.00 GC. That means it costs me $.67 each plus tax then.Am I correct??? Also, do they give us the GC right there??
Not each… Total
You already added up the cost for all of them to get the $5.67 total
What size emergen-c did you buy for $5.99. I have only found $3.99 10 count and $8.99 30 count. Haven’t been able to find any 10 count for weeks. I take this every day so am trying to stock up
I thought they were $3.99 and was shocked when I didn’t get overage like I thought I was going to get.
Jeez….I got a rain check for the Centrum but didn’t think I needed one for the EmergenC. I don’t have a flyer with me but doesn’t the green one end tonight? I believe this is where the EmergenC is $3.99.
The green flier $5/2 coupon does expire tonight… I think the 25% is a weekly sale
I just left the store. The 10 ct EmergenC is $3.99 but all of the stores are out probably because it was free with the coupon in the green advantage flyer. Because they are out the manager gave me a rain check indicating that I can use the store coupon after expiration. If they are not in by the end of the sale then I’ll have to go back in for a rain check on the price.
I wonder why my store was $5.99 ???? My receipt shows $5.99 – $1.50 for 25% off promotion
Must be an error. The sign for the 10ct says $3.99 in the store that you shopped.
well thats annoying LOL
I didnt get the Colgate coupons !! Bummer, gonna look for the peelies !!
Look good. They are in the Smart Source with the General Mills products. I almost missed them because I thought that insert was only General Mills.
There is also a $.50/1 coupon in an extra SS in the El Sentinel. I can send you some of these if you like. Email me at denniejj@msn.com.
i didn’t get the colgate coupon either. and i had both both and central florida papers. but i did find one on 1/6 SS for .75
and it states on ANY colgate toothpaste
I got it in my orlando sentinel
Thanks for the heads up, Amy! I don’t normally shop that Publix, but will make a trip there tonight to get the tearpads, since I can’t seem to find them in the stores near me.
The $5.99 was for the immune box. Blue box with green front that says citrus. The other flavored ones were $3.99 regular price. The 10 counts. The larger ones I believe were 8.99
amy, i grabbed a tearpad about a week or so ago when they first went up but never thought about grabbing more. of course, now that the toothpaste is bogo and the softsoap would be a great price as well, i cannot find the tearpad ANYWHERE. some stores that i have asked have no idea what i am even talking about. Do you think a store would honor the GC deal if I just have the LU #?????
Possibly but with it being a gift card deal I’m not totally sure. they may want to read fine print on an offer on something like that
We need toothpaste but didn’t make it to the Aloma store b/c we were out to town. Does anyone know if they are still there? It’s not a big drive for us to get there. But wondering if we should go out tonight.
