thanks, I posted it this morning in the original post about this deal but its nice to have in the comments on this post as well
In my opinion if it is 100% juice and not the drink it should still be non-taxable. BUT don’t fool yourself that because it said 100% juice that you got 100 % grapefruit juice. I just went up to buy Ocean Spray. The yellow one is 100% grapefruit juice. The Ruby Red is a BLEND (that’s probably where the tax comes in) of 4 different juices including apple and grape and I forget the other one.
I can’t tell very well from your picture, but it looks like you didn’t get the 100% Red Grapefruit Juice. They have two kinds. I would imagine that has something to do with the tax? I got the 100%, and I was not charged tax. Just a guess.
I guess thats what it is… so odd though to me
No it looks like you got the 100% ruby red but read the ingredients list while you have it.
Ruby Red has 30% of Juice. It says on the label. I wish that I would read it yesterday, I would probably buy a white one. Today there wasn’t any white in our Publix.
There’s ruby red grapefruit cocktail, and there’s 100% juice ruby red grapefruit blend (which, although it’s not 100% ruby red grapefruit juice, it is 100% juice). The cocktail is taxable, just like the majority of juice boxes and juice drinks that are mixed with water/sugar/ corn syrup/”flavorings etc. The 100% blend is not taxable. I can’t really tell from you pic, but it looks like you got the cocktail. I bought the 100% juice and paid no tax in Winter Garden. Food items have always confused me as to what’s taxable and what’s not. Some things are very clear, but there seems to be a lot of grey area.
