Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey “Built to Amaze”

Last night I had the pleasure of going to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents BUILT TO AMAZE show at the Amway Center in Orlando FL and had a BLAST !  I wasn’t sure if my kids would be too old since they are 11 and 15 but they were laughing and clapping and screaming through the whole show.  There were SO MANY funny parts of the show and lots of jaw dropping acrobatics.  Its not hard to realize why it’s called “The Greatest Show on Earth”.

We arrived one hour early to meet the performers, try on costumes and learn circus skills at the All Access Pre-show which is FREE to all ticket holders!  There was even a giant bounce house/slide for the kids to play in before the show started.  Make sure you go down and enter a raffle to win a painting that was created by one of the elephants themselves.

My daughter’s favorite part of the show was the trained black and white poodles. She was laughing so much through that entire segment.  My sons favorite part was the lady being shot out of the cannon; what a show stopping moment !!!  And I was amazed at pretty much all of the acrobatics.  Those performers are just so strong and so brave.  I really admire how much work must go into preparing for a show like this !!!

And what show would be complete without popcorn, snowcones, cotton candy, and many other fantastic souveniers !!!  I ended up eating way too many snacks while we were there 😉

Tickets start at only $15 (Ticketmaster service charges and facility fees not included).  All seats are reserved. Tickets are available at ringling.com or ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster outlet, by calling 800-745-3000, or at the Amway Center box office (phone: 407-440-7900).  For group ticket sales and information, call 866-248-8740.

The remaining performances for Orlando are:

  • Saturday Jan 12 @ 11:30 am, 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm
  • Sunday Jan 13 @ 1 pm and 5 pm

  1. Newbie john says

That’s awesome, we’re taking to the kids to see Ringling Brothers Dragons at American Airlines Arena in Miami this afternoon, we’ve made it a yearly tradition and we love it.

  2. Thanks to your post we want to take the kids this year when it comes to Illinois, what I need to know is the differnece in ticket prices and the seating, they vary so much. I wanna get the best seats and not pay a fortune. Can you give me any advice on seating? Thank you!

    • just make sure you look at the seating chart before picking your seats… if you are too high some of the lighting can get in the way of your view

  3. Wasn’t it awesome?! We went Fri night too and the girls (14, 9 and 2) LOVED it!! Thankfully our seats were only 14 up so we could see everything..I think my fav part was the poodles!

  4. My 14 yr old said her fav part was the two couples that were holding each other up..she was amazed how strong the women were lol..I would deff go again..

  5. I liked the double ring thing that the acrobats ran around (the pic is in my post)

And my sons favorite part was the lady being shot out of the cannon.
