Stamps Go Up in Price

BUMPING THIS SINCE TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO GET STAMPS BEFORE THE PRICE INCREASE !!!

Last week I was at the post office shipping off coupons and prizes that several readers won and they let me know that stamps were going up in price this month on 1/27. I decided to pick up a book of forever stamps since they will be good even after the price increases!  This is a great way to save a LITTLE money  :)

  1. I was at the P.O. today, mailing a package, and the line was 15 people long. Not sure why? But, when I got to the counter I bought a roll of stamps because I know that the price is going up next week. The clerk commented that it was “smart” to stock up before the price goes up and then the chaos started! The 15 or so people behind me, got into such an uproar. OMG! What I was trying to figure out is why is it such a secret? Why doesn’t the P.O. post notices inside the P.O. that the prices are changing? When I was there, I saw nothing in print that would indicate the upcoming change.

    • Yea I wouldn’t have known either if they didnt tell me. Honestly I don’t even know how much a stamp costs… I usually buy a book along with other things I am shipping and never even look at it LOL

  2. mentioned your suggestion to my husband and he bought 2 books of stamps while getting lottery ticket at Publix!
Saved 80c on the stamps, but he probably wont win the lottery ticket!
Remind your readers that they can buy stamps at Publix with no lines.

  3. I am all for convience. A friend of mine is getting married and she wanted stamps of wedding cakes and roses. Instead of driving around to the various post offices to check their inventory, I went online. Although it was a $1.75 shipping fee (that she paid), it was well worth having something delivered to me. To take advantage of the shipping fee, I went ahead and ordered 60 forever stamps as well. Also, you can get you stamps at Sam’s Club. I advise you to either go early in the morning or before that close to avoid the chaos.
