Yesterday we went to Legoland Florida to celebrate Kyle’s 12th birthday and let me say… this theme park is so much better than I could’ve ever imagined. I really wish we lived closer because I would definitely buy an annual pass because I could come back again and again and never get sick of it.
If you have one of the Cub Scout Camp Cards, there is a special offer on it to get LEGOLAND tickets for only $45 per person (up to 6 people).
What I love about the park is that it is divided into 10 different zones including The Beginning, Fun Town, Duplo Village, LEGO Kingdom, Land of Adventure, LEGO City, LEGO Tachnic, Imagination Zone, Pirates Cove and Miniland USA.  Inside each section seemed to be rides/attractions and play areas for all ages so no one should get bored walking around.
One of my favorite things was the Safari Trek where you rode through a jungle of LEGO animal creations including lions, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, meerkats, hippos, elephants, ostrich and more. They all looked SOOO real !!!
Inside of Miniland there are 8 sections including New York, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Washington DC, Florida, Kennedy Space Center, Daytona International Speedway and Pirates. This was a neat area to walk around in, the kids really liked it a lot. The space shuttle actually looks like it is about to take off when it starts to smoke under it !
Plus there is a whole section devoted to Star Wars that is truly AMAZING !!!
One of the coolest LEGO creations in the park was a full-size LEGOLAND® Florida Explorer which took 22 builders over 2500 hours to make from more than 380,000 LEGO bricks.
If you have creative children make sure you head to the Lego Racers Build and Test section where you can build your own LEGO car and then race it against other cars.
Along with all the rides, play areas and shows, there are three different 4D adventure movies including a Clutch Powers, Lego racers, and Spellbreaker. This is a great place to head into when you are feeling hot because it is air conditioned and blows super cold air onto you during the show !!!
Whether you have little ones that would prefer to play in the Lego Duplo play areas or older kids that enjoy roller coasters and thrill rides, this park has it all. I honestly have about 25 more pictures that I could have added into this post of other shows, rides and play areas throughout the park !!!
Plus there is a really cool waterpark inside the theme park with several thrill slides, a lazy river where you can build LEGOs onto your raft, a wave pool and 2 play areas. **there is an additional charge for the water park
The kids are already asking when we can go back but next time I think I will plan a hotel stay and do 2 whole days there because there is so much to do !!!

We have been wanting to visit there. Maybe next vacation. Looks like so much fun, wonder if they will get the Lego hotel here.
How cool! I cannot believe all that they made from LEGOs! I would love, love, love to see that. Would make a great family vacation!
we have been 3 times (including this monday) and i have to say- this is not my favorite park. there is no rhyme or reason to the ride restrictions and it is very difficult to do with young children. my kids are 7, 5, 3, and 1. my 7yo can ride everything by herself. my (tall) 5yo, can ride most things by herself, a few things with an adult, and 1 thing not at all. my 3yo can ride a few things by herself, some things with an adult, and some things not at all. obviously, my 1yo cannot ride anything. you can see my dilemma if i take them by myself- my 3yo can ride practically nothing because i can’t take her on it. even if my dh comes, there are a few rides we would have to stand in line for twice in order for all the kids to ride. all the times we have gone have been with amazing friends who were willing to either take my kids on the rides or stay with the baby while i did. things may be different when my kids are older and can all ride all the rides, but right now, it’s very stressful for me. i hate imposing on people and depending on others to care for my kids. this will be a once or twice a year park for us. (we go on homeschool days when it is $8/kid and $25/adult). (this review also applies when you’re pregnant- as i was the first time we went).
We were going to go last weekend for my son’s 12th birthday, but the weather was not good. We want to go in a couple of weeks, so I need to find a cub scout card! I want to use the buy one get a child in free coupon I have. Do you need to bring I.D. for the child?
Because the weather was so bad, the park was so empty and we walked on almost every ride and it never did rain
I’m not sure if you would need an ID for the child with that coupon but with the Cub Scout cards everybody pays the same price so it wouldn’t matter
