DIY Holiday Gift Idea – Cocktails in a Jar

Here is a fun holiday gift for the drinkers in your life.   These DIY Cocktails in a Jar are sure to be a huge hit !

What You Will Need:

• Canning jars
• Some ribbon to go around the lid
• Holiday themed cardstock to cover the lid
• Paper Straws (holiday themed)
• Baker’s Twine or thin ribbon to tie on the liquor bottles
• Small bottle of various liquor
• Smaller cans of juice or soda (make sure its thinner than a regular 12 oz can (short fat ones will not work, you need the taller skinnier ones)

It really is simple to make these jar gifts….

1. Just lay the lid insert down on the card stock, trace it and cut it out.
2. Wrap ribbon around the lid and attach it with hot glue.
3. Place your mixer inside the jar and screw on the lid with the cardstock covering the metal lid insert.
4. Tie Baker’s Twine around the jar and tie on a bottle to each jar.  I paired Jack Daniels and Captain Morgan’s with Coke, Baileys and Kahlua with Starbucks Double Shots, and Vodka with Pineapple juice.  A couple more good ones would be Jagermiester with RedBull Energy drinks and Malibu Rum with pineapple juice.
5. Slide your straw between the jar and the Baker’s Twine.
6. Attach a gift tag to each jar or set all the jars into a huge gift basket.
