Honey Pumpkin Bread Recipe w/ Nutmeg Butter


Looking for a delicious Honey Pumpkin Bread Recipe?  Here is one that when topped with my mother’s recipe for Nutmeg Butter is almost like dessert !!!


  • 1 cup Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value® Organic Mountain Forest Honey
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 can (16 oz) pumpkin
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg



  1. In large bowl, cream honey with butter until light and fluffy.
  2. Stir in pumpkin.
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until thoroughly incorporated.
  4. Sift together remaining ingredients.
  5. Stir into pumpkin mixture.
  6. Divide batter equally between (2) well-greased 9 x5 x 3-inch loaf pans.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.


Nutmeg Butter:

  1. Beat together 1/2 cup butter w/ 1 egg until blended well.
  2. Add 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp nutmeg and 1 full box powdered sugar.
