Here is a fun project that I found on Creative Bug to make a fall wreath. I already had a grapevine wreath so all I needed to buy was autumn colored card stock and ribbon for a bow.
What You Will Need:
- Colored Card Stock in Fall Colors
- Hot Glue Gun
- Grapevine Wreath
- Cricut Explore
- Cricut Scoring Tool
- Cricut Mat
- Ribbon for a Bow
First you will need to log in and find the Fall Wreath Creative Bug Class and watch the video. Download the PDF provided in the class materials tab. In that file, is this link to the free project.
I told it to make 5 projects so it would cut 5 of each leaf.
Make sure you put your scoring tool into the left “A” slot of your Cricut machine. Load your mat with your paper into the machine and follow the steps given to you by your cricut.
Once you get all your leaves scored and cut, you will bend them in the middle along the scored line and attach them onto your wreath with hot glue. Next attach a ribbon/bow to the top and you are done !
If I did it over, I would have gotten a bigger wreath or made the leaves smaller. But overall, I love it and I really like how the Cricut Scoring Tool works. Having the veins in the paper leaves gives it a more realistic look (see close up pic below).
