Monster 500 Graveyard Gauntlet Track Set and Toxic Terror Trap Playset Review

I received the following Monster 500 products for review: Monster 500™ Toxic Terror Trap Playset, the Monster 500™ Graveyard Gauntlet Track Set, a Monster 500 Small Vehicle and a Monster 500™ Large Vehicle.  They all seems like good quality products and putting it together was pretty easy.  It was nice having the extra vehicles and having 3 total trading cards made the free app more fun to play while on the go.

Once you have the sets, you will probably want to get extra vehicles.  There are a total of 10 different 3 inch die cast cars which are sold as individual cars or in packs of 3.  Each comes with a trading card to unlock a monster car in the free Monster 500 app.

There are also 4 larger vehicles which stand 4 inches high and 5 inches long.  These include Zoom Zombie™, CrocPot™, Lead Foot™ and Flattop Frank.   With the touch of a button, scary-good lights and sounds are activated on each vehicle for additional fabulously freaky fun.

With the Monster 500™ Toxic Terror Trap Playset you can speed down the twisting track, blast through the gate, topple the toxic monster and avoid being eaten by the mutant gator. The hazmat mutant activates the elevator that moves the car to the top of the track, while scary septic sounds add to the terrifying atmosphere. This set includes a trading card with a code that unlocks a monster car in the free Monster 500 racing app.

The Monster 500™ Graveyard Gauntlet Track Set starts off your racing team with a Drac Attack racer and trading card. Just connect the track pieces, screw the skull launcher onto any flat surface, then press down. Fearless drivers fly down a daredevil drop and speed through a swinging pendulum. Danger is imminent, but if a villain is victorious, an eye-popping skull end piece raises a checkered flag!

Includes 10 track pieces, 8 connectors, a skull launcher, a pendulum with base, a skull end piece, a Drac Attack racer and trading card with a code that unlocks a monster car in the free Monster 500 racing app.

This set is a lot more fun with an extra car so you can drag race them.  Invite friends over and bet on who will win.  You are sure to see your child having a blast with this track set !

You can buy Monster 500 playsets and cars at

Plus here is some info on the Monster 500™ Racing App:

Join the battle for Monster 500™ supremacy in this frighteningly fast racing app. Fight other monsters as you navigate the death-defying tracks to the finish. Pick up weapons, avoid toxic spills and other creepy obstacles as you race.  As I mentioned above, the trading cards each have  code to unlock a monster car in the app so the more codes you get, the more cars you can play with in the app.

The App is FREE at the App Store and Google play.

Review of Bradley Smoker Designer Series Smokers

I am so excited to tell you about my new Bradley Smoker.  Seriously this is definitely my favorite product that we own because we can make amazing meals with such ease.  This electric smoker comes with 4 removable racks and has simple to use temperature controls which provide a consistent and controlled smoke and temperature.

The day it arrived we could not wait to smoke some meat so we rushed out and bought chicken, Baby Back ribs and a Boston Butt to make pulled pork.  We started by seasoning the smoker for 1 to 2 hours without any food in it and because we wanted to let the meat rubs soak in we had to wait 24 hours before we could start smoking the meat.

We rotated apple and pecan bisquettes which gave it a very unique flavor once it was done.  The whole family LOVED it and we had such delicious meats to eat for the next week.

Tonight we were craving smoked oysters so we headed to a local seafood market and got a half bushel of oysters.  Kevin smoked 1/4 of them plain, 1/4 with bread crumbs, 1/4 with parmesan cheese on top and 1/4 with a mix of bread crumbs, cheese and chopped garlic.  They all tasted amazing but each had their own unique flavor.  The hardest part of this recipe was shucking all the oysters.

The next thing I want to smoke is salmon and fish for smoked fish dip.  I like that you can eat some of the food by itself and then use some in recipes to create even more meal options.  If you are looking for other delicious recipes, you can check out their website HERE for all kinds of recipes for fish, seafood, pork, lamb, nuts, beef, vegetables and more.

I can’t wait to try some of the other smoking briquette flavors they offer.

Their flavors include:

  • Alder
  • Apple
  • Cherry
  • Hickory
  • Maple
  • Whiskey Oak
  • Mesquite
  • Oak
  • Pacific Blend
  • Pecan
  • Special Blend
  • Jim Beam

You can find a retailer that sells Bradley Smokers near you HERE (in Orlando you can find them at Bass Pro Shops, Dicks Sporting Goods and Gander Mountain).  Or you can order one online at,,, and other retailers.

Review of 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage

I was given the opportunity to review the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage.  I was really excited to get to drive it for a week because I knew NOTHING about Mitsubishi.  With a new teenage driver in the family and one that will be driving very soon, I was very interested in checking out this smaller car.  For the past 17 years I have only owned SUVs and Mini Vans because I was always toting kids around but the price tag on those types of vehicles is way beyond what I want to spend on a first or second car for my kids.

The first thing I loved about this car is that it gets up to 44 miles to the gallon on the highway (or 37 mpg in the city).  This makes it the perfect car for those that have to drive to work each day or for those starting off to college without a lot of money to spend on gas.  In fact, the 2015 Mirage is the most fuel-efficient gas-powered non-hybrid in America.

The 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage can seat 5 and is protected with 7 airbags including side curtain airbags, driver’s side knee airbags and advanced dual-stage front airbags.  Plus with the 3-point seatbelts and head restraints for all seating positions, this car is built to keep you safe in the case of an accident.

Some of my favorite features of this car were the backup camera, the automatic climate control, the Bluetooth capability for hands-free phone calls, the CD player and radio, the navigation system and keyless push button startup.   I seriously love that you don’t need a key to lock and unlock your doors.  You just keep a remote “smart key” in your purse or pocket and it will detect that it is close-by and you just push a button to lock or unlock the doors.  That is so much easier than digging through my giant purse to find my keys that sank to the bottom.  Also you can NOT lock your smart key in your vehicle, it will beep to let you know and it will just not lock until the smart key is out of the vehicle.

For a smaller sized car, the truck is plenty big to load in groceries or other necessities.  Plus you can fold down the seats to give extra room for times that you need a little more space.

Depending on which features you add to your model, you can get the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage for as low as $12,995 which makes it very affordable.  You can choose from colors such as Infrared (like I drove), Sapphire Blue, Kiwi Green, Plasma Purple, Cloud White, Mystic Black, Starlight Silver or Thunder Gray.

Epson Expression Premium XP-620 Small-in-One Printer

The Epson Expression Premium XP-620 Wireless Color Photo Printer with Scanner and Copier delivers unbeatable photo quality for vivid borderless photos up to 8×10 and outputs documents with sharp text.  You can also print high-quality graphics onto CD/DVDs.  The auto 2-sided printing saves time and money, while a dedicated photo tray and 2.7″ LCD mean your printer is always ready to print photos and more. Plus, you can share photos in more ways than you imagined. With the ultimate wireless connectivity, this ultra slim all-in-one prints from smartphones and tablets.  Do you want to share old family photos?  You can scan them directly to Facebook or the cloud.

Setting it up was pretty easy… I just used the step by step guide and it was ready to go in 6 steps:

  1. Unpack
  2. Plug in power and turn on
  3. Install ink cartridges
  4. Load paper (make sure tray is completely closed or it won’t print)
  5. Connect the Fax line
  6. Install software

When loading paper, there are 2 trays with slider bars so you can fit different sizes of paper and photo paper. Plus there are so many options to help create the perfect photos.

The first thing I wanted to print was tags for my Merry Kiss-Mas holiday jars (details on how to make them will be coming soon).  Its hard to tell from my photo but the colors came out so bright and pretty.  These tags are going to look GREAT on my jars.

The Print on CD/DVD feature is very cool.  This would be great for creating memory photo CDs and cute video DVDs for relatives at Christmas time and putting your child’s picture on the CD/DVD.  Or if you are into creating your own music, you could create a graphic for your CD so it isn’t just a solid plain color.  You can use your own photos or one of their stock photos.  I made one up to put all my kids pictures on from this year.

Because there are 5 ink cartridges, you only need to replace the color that has run out. No longer will you need to buy a high priced cartridge just because one color ran out of ink.  And the double sided printing will save you money on paper so with both of these features, this printer can pay off over time !

I love that you can print lab quality 4×6 photos in as fast as 20 seconds.  This way there is very little waiting when you want to share photos with family and friends that come over.

My favorite feature is that you can print wirelessly from your iPad, iPhone, tablet, smartphone or computer.  And because Epson is a member of the Mopria™ Alliance – a non-profit membership organization working to promote the expansion of mobile printing. The XP-620 is Mopria-certified, meaning it will work seamlessly with the Mopria Print Service and the built-in Printing Framework in Android v4.4 or later (KitKat), allowing users to easily print documents, emails, photos or web pages regardless of brand, device or operating system.

You can purchase the EPSON Expression Premium XP-620 Small-in-One Printer from major retailer stores nationwide for only $149.99 (right now its only $99.99 on Amazon).

Zoomer Zuppies Robotic Dogs #ZoomerLove

You might recall Zoomer, the robotic, trainable, and incredibly fun to play with dog from Spin Master! These adorable pups made their way to our world last year and this year, they are introducing a new addition to the Zoomer family, Zoomer Zuppies ! These super cute little dogs each have a name, style, and personality all their own.  They include multiple sensors that enable them to play games and sense nurturing touch that increases their emotion gages.  In other words, the more you nurture and play with them, the happier they’ll be and the more they’ll share with you!

You can choose from several different puppies including:

  • Roxy
  • Candy
  • Scarlet
  • Spot
  • Lilac
  • Gemma
  • Noble

FullSizeRender (8)

I received Scarlet which came with a sheet of stickers so I could customize her the way I wanted.

FullSizeRender (9)

She has sensors all over her body so she knows if you are giving her attention.  If left alone for too long, she will become sad and start to whine.  Kevin was cracking up at how sad she gets when left alone.

  • Tap or rub her head to give her attention
  • Press her back for different modes and to check for happiness levels
  • Press her nose for fun sounds
  • Chest detects hand movements

You can even play different activities with her such as Pixel Smash, Fast Hands, Higher Lower, Music Play and Guard Mode. And there are secret way to unlock tricks (found in the instructions).

This is sure to be one of the hot toys this Christmas so I will make sure to post when deals come up in stores !!!
