As couponers, many times we get products that we may not really need because we “make money” on the deal. Or there may be items that we can get free but end up not getting them because “we can’t use them”. This year I have really felt called to start giving back and I know I have a TON of items that are sitting around that my family does not need or like.
I have found 3 great organizations that I am teaming up with to help those in need (I get NOTHING for doing this, I just truly feel these are 3 great places to partner with)…
For Food and Beauty/Personal Product items:
I would love to get everyone involved in helping out Servant’s Heart Center with items this year. I have already started a HUGE pile of items that I will be donating. If you have stuff to donate as well, you can either drop off items at my house (email me at pooh5497@yahoo.com for location) or at the Servant’s Heart Center warehouse located at 925 Andy St. Orlando, FL 32809
For Medicines and First-Aid products:
One of Kaley’s favorite nurses does a mission trip each year and they are in need of over-the-counter meds and items like peroxide, bandaids, etc. The medicine can even be slightly out of date because it is better than nothing at all she said.
Medicines they need (generics are fine):
- Benadryl tablets 25 mg
- Benedryl liquid 25 mg
- Hydrocortisone Cream 1%
- Iron tablets 300 mg
- Multivitamins
- Folic Acid 5 mg
- Antacids
- Zantac
- Tylenol / Acetaminophen 500 mg or 325 mg
- Imodium tablets
- Ibuprofen / Motrin
- Ibuprofen / Motrin liquid for children

For Pet Items:
Kaley volunteers at Pet Rescue by Judy which is a no-kill shelter and this also where we got our dog Vince. I truly feel this is a great pet rescue and would love to help them out more. I already donate extra pet items to them and Kaley gives her time on weekends here and there but I would love it if I could get more readers involved in donating to this great organization.

Thanks Amy for your support and for adding great buys to our fb.com/group “Clipping Hunger with Coupons.” We would love to have your readers join our efforts to match the current budget with retail coupon value. It is our hope that shoppers will go the extra mile and use their coupons to get those food and hygiene items they would not use themselves but are an excellent coupon buys for free or pennies on the dollar.
Awesome deal on the General Mills Cereal. There is such a need for cereal donations. I am using all my coupon resources at Target this week. 😀
