The SANUS Premium Series VMT5 Tilting Mount holds 40″ to 50″ TVs up to 75 lbs is the perfect way to mount your TV on the wall so that your entertainment center/TV stand has more room for all the other electronics like your DVR, DVD players game consoles, etc. It will also give you a better view of your TV while sitting on the couch or floor because you can tilt it at the perfect angle. Plus you can slide the TV from side-to-side for perfect positioning on the wall.
As you can see in the picture above, the top of our entertainment center was very crowded with the TV, DVD player and game consoles all sitting on it. I knew mounting the TV on the wall would help out so much and we wouldn’t have to stack things on top of each other.
Getting the TV mount on the wall wasn’t very difficult at all (the directions were easy to follow). However, with having Kevin “help me” drill holes into the wall somehow we ended up with 10 holes and the mount only needs 6 screws LOL If you just level it and mark your hole spots PROPERLY and then drill the hole where the mark is, you would have no problem with this step. 😉
Next you will attach the two hanging brackets onto the back of the TV using 4 of the provided screws, spacers and washers (they give you 4 different screw sizes so you should have one that fits your TV).
Then all you have to do is hang the TV by the brackets onto the wall mount (which was SUPER EASY). It even has a “connection you can hear” so you know it is hanging on properly.
I just love having our TV on the wall instead of on the stand. Now all I need to get is a white cord cover to hide the wires and it will look so much better (or drop the wires behind the wall but that seems like a lot of work).
After putting this one up in the family room, Kevin has decided that we need to do the same thing in our bedroom to get the TV off our dresser !
